Our Expert

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a diverse background in military and forensic nursing, dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. My journey in healthcare began more than 22 years ago as a camp counselor working with individuals with disabilities, where I first discovered my passion for helping others.

During my undergraduate studies, I pursued a pre-medical track with a minor in psychology while also working independently with children with autism as an in-home care specialist. These early experiences strengthened my commitment to mental health and inspired me to build a career focused on supporting individuals through life’s challenges.

My professional path continued in the United States Navy, where I proudly served for five years as a Hospital Corpsman specializing in behavioral health and mental health services. Working closely with service members deepened my understanding of the importance of accessible, compassionate mental healthcare and reinforced my desire to become a provider who could make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Driven by a commitment to clinical excellence and advocacy, I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, with a specialization in forensic nursing. This advanced training further expanded my expertise in trauma-informed care, behavioral health, and the intersection of mental health and the justice system.

I bring a broad range of clinical experience and a patient-centered approach to care. I am passionate about empowering clients to achieve emotional wellness, resilience, and lasting personal growth while working collaboratively with each individual to create a mutual, respectful, and personalized treatment plan tailored to their unique needs and goals.
